Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic Brain Injury is otherwise known as TBI, and damages the brain.
This can result in brain dysfunction and can happen because of a violent blow to the head.
It can tear tissues and blood vessels, in turn causing bleeding in the brain.
TBI can be caused by accidental falls, a motor vehicle accident, sports injuries, etc.
Person will typically experience temporary loss of consciousness, headaches, confusion, vision problems, ringing in the ears, slurred speech, memory loss, etc.
This condition may need emergency treatment or surgery depending on many factors.
The victim may need medication to help control symptoms and recovery might be enhanced from therapy (psych or physical).
